Meaningful Use Operational Alignment
While the HITECH Act has placed incentive payments within reach of hospitals, many continue to face challenges in understanding their most efficient path to achieving Meaningful Use and aligning the quality measures defined in the regulation to their day-to-day clinical operations. For example, CPOE alone presents a number of complexities and decision points that can be both perplexing and time consuming to address.
The Hielix team includes nationally recognized subject matter experts in Meaningful Use and the HITECH regulations who have been providing consultation and guidance in this area since early 2010. Combined with our clinical expertise, we are able to identify key needs and to work with hospital leadership and staff to address challenges and prepare a plan of action with minimal disruption, insuring patients continue to receive the highest quality care possible. We work with our hospital customers to establish a Meaningful Use Roadmap that addresses:
- Expected amount of incentive payments from both Medicare and Medicaid.
- Determining the most appropriate Clinical Quality Measures for an individual hospital within Stage One.
- Designing clinical workflows that allow the hospital to easily and efficiently integrate the collecting of quality measure data within day-to-day patient care.
- Providing support for individual hospitals with reporting and attestation.
